This is my bed...
(please ignore the mess under the bed)

It all started about a month and 1/2 ago. While feeding Brighton I used to get him out of bed and sit in a chair feed him and then put him back into bed. (I was pretty tired doing this) A few people suggested to me "you should just feed him in bed" I thought ya that's a good idea I will try it.
I tried it and LOVED it!
Until.. I started to drift off asleep while Brighton would eat then he would fall asleep. Yes in my bed, and no I don't have the perfect child that sleeps through the night... dang it I wish I did. Anyways this has now become a problem. I don't know why but lately Brighton has been waking up every hour to 2 hours through the night. I am not sure if it's because of teething or what
but it's driving me crazy!
So the other night I thought okay I am not going to let Brighton sleep in my bed. I put him down at 9 then he woke up at 10, 11:30, 12:30, I tried giving him a binky in his bed, wouldn't take it. So I would rock him with the binky and he would fall back asleep and I would put him in his bed. Woke up again at 1:30 I fed him put him back in his bed, he woke up at 2:30, by the time 3:30 came around I couldn't take it I was so tired and didn't care. I broke my rule and put him in bed with us.
He still woke up a few hours later to eat but slept so much better and so did I.
Seriously though I just don't know what to do. I guess I just have a bad sleeper on my hands.

Ryan was a horrible sleeper too! Don't give in, it's the best advise I can give you! It sucks for you, but after a week or so he will sleep in his bed. He'll give up, he's tired and he'll figure it out, you just have to train him and be consistent! Make sure you put him in his bed for naps too because then he will know that his crib is for sleeping. Good Luck!! YOU CAN DO IT!!! P.S. I miss talking to you!! I wish we could hang out! I need your new address too email it to me kbabes204@yahoo.com Love ya!
I think it will be hard hard hard until he is not sleeping right by your bed. He knows your right there. You can not hide. GOOD LUCK! Love you.
p.s. maybe you can train him when you come home?
I just had to let my baby cry it out. I put her bed in her own room and just let her cry it out by the next night after letting her cry it out she slept just fine. It just took her being able to comfort herself and be able to put her self back to sleep. The first night sucks but in the end it's so worth it.
he doesn't LOOK like a bad sleeper. He looks pretty perfect to me.
Fix it or you'll regret it. I did the same thing with Lex. She is 3 and still will only sleep with us.
Oh, Stephanie I am so sorry! I think every mom has to go through that with one of their kids. Do what is right for you and your baby. If you are well rested then your chid will be happy! Good luck, I hope that you figure out a way to get him to sleep. Some kids are just not good sleepers!
Sounds like Luke! I remember not even feeling like myself because I was so tired. One thing you could try that worked for Luke is a "kiddopodumus swaddler". When Luke was about 3 months I couldn't take it any more so I decided to follow my sisters advice and swaddle him tight, even though he hated it more than anything. For the first two nights he was screaming for about 15 min, I felt horrible, but after those nights he really liked it and slept wayyyyy better(like 6 or 7 straight hours) and I slept wayyyy better. We were both happier in the end, but it isn't easy to just listen to them cry. Anyway, it's just a thought and I know it works for some and not others. But, good luck and hang in there:)
Been there! Nathan was my only sleeper! Rachel never slept unless it was while I was vacuuming or I left her on top of the dryer. Emmett was in my bed from the beginning. I was too old and toooo tired to do it any other way. He's 11 now and finally sleeps in his own bed- hahaha!!!
