It will not be long

Brighton started standing. Everyday he is getting better and better at it. He used to pull himself up from the couch and then let go. Now he doesn't hold on to anything and he just stands up. He cruises along the couch and other things but no steps on his own yet... ( Okay it has been like 10 hours later and I spoke little to soon. Brighton took steps tonight all on his own!!! I can't believe it! Just a couple then he would fall, I give it to the end of the week!)

Also his fun personality is showing more and more I am loving this stage he is in. He makes funny faces, and he has started this new thing where he puts his hands above his head and you say yaaa and he gets so excited! He does it like 50 times a day. You would think we were watching jazz games all day or something.

Oh and he Dances So cute I will post a video of it soon.

He just won't stop...

If you didn't already know, Brighton tries to suck on my toes all day everyday at least 5-10 times a day. I had to get it on camera.
Usually he sneaks up on me and does it. If he see's them he will come up to me and go straight for those toes. It's pretty gross when he catches me off guard and gets in a good suck. ha ha sick!

Play before I sleep

This face is So funny to me, haha when I was about to take the picture I remember thinking... that is a big smile I will wait a sec for him to tone it down.
As you can tell he didn't tone it down so this is what we got
I love it. LoL

Also sleep training has been a success! It took a little over a week, but he is sleeping through the night, and stopped crying before he goes down. Sometimes he whimpers a little but it doesn't last long at all. It feels really good to have that done. But I will say it was not easy.

Baptized

It all started with a phone call from my Best Friend Betsy last Sunday night telling
me that her mom and little brother were going to be Baptized
on Saturday. I could not believe what I was hearing!!!

We were so excited. I met Betsy when I lived in Chico,
She moved to Utah with me for a while and was Baptized in 2006.
All Betsy ever wanted was for her family to be baptized too and experience the same
Joy she had felt.

She had no idea that her mother and brother were even taking the discussions.
Someone gave Chris's name to the Missionary's to attend Scouts.
Norka (Betsy's mom) invited them in for dinner, where the Missionary's
taught the first discussion. 2 weeks later they were Baptized!

Wow the Lord truly does work in the most amazing ways!

The Baptism was awesome! Chris was Baptized first, and he didn't go down all the way,
But it was meant to be because Betsy and Norka wouldn't have been able to see it,
they were still in the bathroom.
So he went down again and everyone was able to see it.

Betsy is also a trooper she was asked to share a few thoughts,
and her testimony. She did such an amazing job!
She is an amazing speaker and I will never forget the words she shared that night.
One thing I will share she said was,
"I never would have thought that the same person that introduced me to the Gospel
would be sitting here today at my mom and little brother's Baptism. I am so happy"

I am happy too.

Norka and Chris were Baptized on Saturday May 8th 2010.

All of us together after the Baptism. Daniel was even able to go!!! :)

This is such an AMAZING family and I know the Lord has a lot in store for them.

Mosiah 26:24

For behold, in my name are they called;
and if they know me they shall come forth,
and shall have a place eternally
at my right hand.

Sleep training day 3

I am proud to say Brighton has slept in his own bed and has only been feed once at 5am instead of being fed like 3 times a night for 3 days now.

It has been really hard and soon enough I will cut out the 5 am feeding I just wanted to take it out slowly for Brighton's sake and for me too if you know what I mean.

The 1st night was rough, got up 3 times, cried for about 45 min each time.

The 2nd night was pretty good still woke up 3 times but only cried for about 10 min each time.

Last night was rough again? When he woke up around 2 he cried for an hour!! Not sure why?

But... we are sticking to it, he is on a good routine and I know it will be worth it in the end.
