random utah

So many random pictures 

like i said before utah was a blast 

we had lots of fun with family 

when we flew home we took a red eye that was awful

a baby (not mine) cried that whole flight 

then we had a layover for 4 hours in NY 

it was nice to be home 

and we had another christmas from grandma charlotte when we got home 

she sent a box cause she didn't know we were coming  

Christmas 2012

Christmas get more and more fun the older the kids get
brighton loved it this year and understood much better too

if you asked brighton what he wanted her would say
"car carrier truck steam roller bulldozer"
he saw one in nordstrom about 2 months before christmas and i told him he could ask santa for one
and that's just what he did

we got some cute video of the boys too
one funny thing brighton said when he saw that the milk and cookies were gone
"oh no my milk is gone, santa drank my milk"

Best Surprise possibly ever

but it's late i want to get this done so I can start on my blog books and I just don't really care. 

i had the best time in utah this year! 

but seriously the best. 

we didn't even do anything that exciting it was just an easy carefree full of snow time in utah. 

usually it's kind of chaotic with the kids 

my family finds something to argue and fight about but not this time 

nope, it was just easy and fun. 

we flew into vegas and stayed with daniel's family for a couple of days 

then headed up to payson to surprise my mom that we had come 

she had no idea 

it was awesome 

my sister monica was really the only one that knew we were coming 

she helped us get everything set up and ready 

my mom and dad had left but were coming home shortly 

that is when we arrived 

we got into the house 

monica brought a box i could fit into we wrapped it and i curled up into a ball the best i could. 

when we saw my parents pull up i got under the box 

she told my mom she had a present for her and that she wanted her to open it right then 

we set it up perfectly 

she kept trying to pick up the box and i was trying to hold it down 

because of this she got a little nervous and thought an animal was in the box 

the assured her it was no animal 

i decided when i heard her start to rip the paper is when i would jump out 

her reaction was priceless 

we got it all on camera and it was so fun.

why does he seem like so much more of a baby to me than brighton did at this age?

one thing is for sure he is such a ma ma's boy!
he hugs and kisses me and snuggles me all day.
i am not complaining
i love it!

i am still nursing him
oh my gosh
I AM STILL NURSING HIM
i never thought i would see the day
and the bad part is i don't see it ending any time soon

brighton was so easy to wean.

i did get him to drink a little milk the other day.
granted it was chocolate milk, it was milk and a step in the right direction

he also is a very smart little boy
he recently started moving chairs around to get what he wants off the counter.
are you kidding me! he is 14 months!

he loves to sit and take things apart and put them back together.
he loves to untwist caps and twist them back on.
he doesn't always succeed this task but he tries.

he loves to play with brighton but is also nervous around him.
let's just say he knows when to run away
and he isn't afraid to hit back if he has too.

when they wake from their afternoon nap or if they haven't seen each other in a while they give hugs to one another for a good min or two.
i love that

he is still a better eater than bright but he is not great.
he loves to read books
play cars
play trains
and snuggle me

nixon is not the best sleeper
i feel like a get him sleeping through the night and then if we travel he get's sick or if he is teething it's all over and i have to start all over again.
but he is always good about me putting him down and starting off in his bed

he is still taking 2 naps but not always
usually around 10-11 or 12 and then again around 2 or 3 till about 5 and then goes down for the night at 8-9

so really i think it's pretty good.

i just love my big baby so much!

Brighton

I haven't posted in a while. 

Traveling and holidays will do that to you. 

I need to post all about our Utah trip but for now I am going to write about my boys. 

Brighton, I had a great Christmas. 

He loved being in Utah and with all of his cousins and "friends" 

Before we left for Utah my pre~lit tree's lights in the middle went out. 

So it went back in the box and got returned to Target. 

Bright was not happy about this. 

He kept asking what I was doing with His Tree. 

He was so sad. 

Every time we go to Utah I feel like he grows up a little more 

and acts a little older. 

He LOVES being with his cousins so much! 

Especially the older ones. 

Josh and Canyon. Although he really loves them all. 

We have been back for a little over a week now and I still here everyday a couple times a day. 

"mom, I miss all my friends. My family" me "who do you miss?" he then names all of his cousins. 

seriously 2-3 times a day. Breaks my heart. 

I wish so badly we could be closer to them. 

One day..... I hope. 

He officially starts his first time as a Sunbeam next week. 

I'm so sad. 

He can't really be that old can he? 

He loves going to "school" and he loves friends. 

He is still somewhat of an emotional child and still takes 3 hour naps. 

I thought we might loose them when we were in Utah but he picked right back up on them when we got back. Hallelujah 

We are back at watching Cars. Shoot me 

He loves the start of it dancing to the music.

At school the other day they learned about the New Year

We actually all made it to 12:00pm that night 

Brighton loved watching the ball in New York on tv and watching Daniel and I kiss. 

After he came up to me and kissed me and made sure it was a long kiss and he moved his head while he did it. 

I think he watching too much tv or something. 

Anyways back to school. They Traced 2013 and Happy New Year and he was so proud he stayed in the lines and did a really good job.
