I am not going to lie or sugar coat it, having 2 has been hard really hard. I know you moms out there with 3, 4 or more kids are saying 2 is easy. Kind of like how I think people with 1 child is easy.
I have now come to realize it's hard making a change in life and figuring things out. If it's with 1,2, or more. I'm sure life with 2 will get easier, but right now it's hard.
I put Brighton back in diapers. It was hard for me to make this decision. It was a good run and good practice for him but I couldn't go on any longer. I felt bad because Daniel worked so hard at getting Brighton to go on the potty. Brighton actually did pretty well with it. As long as I took him and I reminded him. He would very rarely go on his own. If I got busy and didn't take him he would have an accident. I just can't handle that pressure right now while taking care of a newborn. I want to enjoy this newborn~ness while I can. Not cleaning up pee or being worried to go out in public for fear Brighton will have an accident. For the record he does better out n about than at home, but still. I already get frustrated with Brighton enough with him trying to pick up the baby, kiss the baby (way too hard) or yes hit and scratch the baby. I was sick of being frustrated with him when he had an accident. Just as much as I want to enjoy Nixon I want to enjoy Brighton right now too.
Now that he is back in diapers I feel like I can breath again. Like I am not stuck in my house all day. And having a happy ME was worth putting him back in diapers.
I will make it, I have to I have no choice. Brighton will eventually get trained. He is so smart and it always works out. But I will say life with 2 is hard, life with 2 and no husband is even harder! I am grateful and happy I have my two boys. Happy that we are all healthy. I count my many blessings everyday.

You are awesome! Not having a husband there to help would kill me. I think the hardest thing for me with two was no sleep. With one you could nap when your baby naps but with two you can't. I hope you are getting some sleep. I would have done the exact same thing with Brighton and the diapers.
Good Luck.
Do not feel bad! I know exactly how you feel! Accidents are exhausting and frustrating. Not worth it until you and Brighton are ready. :)
Hang in there! Most things you adjust to and get easier. Some don't. Its all part of mommyhood. You are doing great. Wanna know my dirty little secret? It took me about a year to potty train Paetyn. You are ahead of the game!
Whatever makes you survive this time is worth it. Newborns are hard and a lot of work as it is, but potty training on top of it, no thanks! I would have done the same. You are right, it will happen eventually so don't stress. Just enjoy this time!
great...#2 comes in just a couple weeks.Zane has colored on the couch with permanent marker twice this week....and my husband doesn't get home until 2:30am. Good thing we have cute kids right? hang in there. and send me positve vibes too for the next few weeks.
I'm sorry Steph! You are one tough woman! I wouldn't be able to do what you do without my hubs around!! Stay strong, you're an awesome mom!!
I think you are totally fine in putting B back in diapers. Most kids aren't even trained until 3 or 3.5, and by then Nix will be 1 and it will be easier to focus on B. I think any life changes are hard at first. When I started my job I cried a lot from being so stressed, but I'm just starting to figure out a good schedule to balance things. Once you figure out a good schedule, it should get better. Hopefully Daniel will have a slow December month. Call me if you want to vent or talk. Love ya!
Having two kids is crazy, but I promise it gets easier everyday!
Koby rarely beats Lincoln anymore:)
