I got back to California on Saturday, tired from waking up early to get ready for my flight that morning and making sure I look cute. (After all I had not seen my husband in over two weeks) I get off my flight after listening to a two year old cry, kick the back of my seat, and the lady next to me snoring the entire flight. I thought okay I can finally relax right? Wrong.
I see my cute husband waiting for me, when he tells me I have our Saturday all planned out. I was excited but still tired from the flight.
We start the day off by going to In N Out. Anyone who knows me knows I love hamburgers! Then we head on the 101 S freeway to go toward Monterey Ca. Needless to say it was Saturday afternoon and traffic was stop and go. So Daniel gets the idea to take a detour, he is going to out smart the traffic by listening to our new GPS. Little did we know we would go through a bunch of little towns and it was Garlic Days in Gilroy. So what do we end up in? More traffic.
What should have been a one hour drive somehow ended up being a 4 hour drive. Daniel's excuse is, look at all this quality time we got to spend with eachother talking. ( he is too cute I could not stay mad at him) Back to the adventure we finally arrive in Carmel do a little window shopping, get some yummy hot chocolate and go down to the beach. Then we go on the 17 mile drive. It was so pretty. It has about 20 plus tourist spots to check out. Daniel's favorite was Pebble beach and getting pictures by the 18th hole where they have the US Open.
